Nosy neighbors anyone?

September 5th, 2008 / No Comments » / by chorva

We actually have that and I’m telling you, they’re annoying. They would stick their head out of their windows whenever a delivery or a visitor (sometimes even a repair man) comes to our house. Sometimes they even wanted to know which of our bills came that day. Ugh!

Meet The Sproutwells, a typical fruit and veggie family living around humans. And they have a nosy neighbor too. Watch below.

If I could only do that too – punish my neighbors for being nosy, that is – I would do the same as what Macaulay Caulkin’s character in Home Alone did. But I guess I could only wish for it.

Noticed the deliveries in the video? They’re from freshfunds, it’s also like ebay where you can bid on items and at the same time support a healthy lifestyle. I actually signed up and I currently have my eyes on a MacBook Air and an iPod nano. I am salivating.

We’re “Too Old” to Question the Eraserheads Saguijo After Party

September 3rd, 2008 / 5 Comments » / by chorva

Everybody knows Ely underwent his third angioplasty on Monday morning and is now in stable condition. He’s okay and eating well according to Pupil’s Yan Yuzon.

Rumors of the 2nd part (or continuation) of the concert are spreading. It was Raimund who said “babawi kami” hinting a part 2. It’s up to the 3 remaining guys if it will push through. But part 2 or not, I think its okay. It was a great night with great music and a great band. Pardon my use of “great”, my vocabulary is limited.

The after party gig in Saguijo was questioned by some. Despite what Ely said about us being “too old”, some didn’t understand where the rest of the guys are coming from. They are musicians for crying out loud, playing music is the best way they know how to express their feelings. I’m not a musician but this also applies to me. I would pick up my guitar and play anything and after that I feel good.

Read what’s on Raimund Marasigan’s mind. Thanks to Philmusic and a friend for sending this to me.

Did Gossip Girl broke out of Prison and ran to a One-Tree Hill?

September 2nd, 2008 / No Comments » / by chorva

September 1 marks the start of 3 US Primetime TV shows I watch. Prison Break, One Tree Hill, and Gossip Girl. Though it’s already September 2 on this side of the globe we’ll find out what’s in store for us in each TV series’ season premiere a little later as uploaders are still working very hard to provide quality copies. Some are already downloading and some are already watching online. I’ll be doing that later tonight. I can’t wait.

So what do we really need to find out?

  • Is this the episode where Dr. Tancredi will come out and reunite with Michael Scofield?
  • The girl Lucas asked to marry will be revealed.
  • Did Chuck went to Europe (is it Paris? I can’t remember) with Blair? Or did he spend time with that girl and didn’t bother going?

Later.

Eraserheads Is The Greatest Band of My Generation

Eraserheads Reunion Concert (Aug 30 2008 - The Fort)

Eraserheads Reunion Concert (Aug 30 2008 - The Fort)

We went there very early, we weren’t lucky enough to get VIP or SVIP tickets so getting at the venue earlier was the best plan we had. Unfortunately, most people were thinking about the same thing. We settled to a place near the fence in the Patron section with barbarians near us. But screw them, we were there for the Eraserheads and nobody could ever top that.

The ten-minute countdown before the concert started was the longest of my life, I was in tears despite the sweat and hunger, and I didn’t care anyway. Most of the people attended were true blue fans, it was proven when the announcement that Ely was rushed to the hospital, most of us were quiet and in shock. Some a-holes shouted for refund but they were too few to be heard. When I saw the people’s reaction about the news I can’t help but remembered Ely singing, “They tried to tell us we’re too old…”. Yes, we’re old enough to understand things like these and we only did the right thing.

Hit songs like “Torpedo”, “Magasin”, “Ang Huling El Bimbo”, “Overdrive”, “Pare Ko”, “Julie Tearjerky”, and “Para Sa Masa” were obviously in the second set but we weren’t able to hear them because of what happened. I’m sure bigger fireworks were prepared for those songs. What could’ve happened while hearing these songs again, we don’t know and there’s no point in wondering. One thing is for sure, people still love the Eraserheads and they are indeed the greatest band of my generation.

Eraserheads Reunion Concert Update: Best Way To Buy Tickets

August 29th, 2008 / 4 Comments » / by chorva

My condolences to Ely Buendia’s family as her mother passed away yesterday morning. :(

Eraserheads reunion concert

Eraserheads reunion concert

If you’re going to buy tickets, I suggest you don’t do it online. Ticket World’s website is crap; they can’t accommodate the thousands of people buying tickets online. National Bookstore is another choice, and as far as I can remember they’re also selling tickets in Powerbooks (I’m not sure if they still do though). But if you’re in the Makati area, you can go to either Greenbelt or the Ticket World head office. The latter is the best choice. No lines, friendly staff, and you can even get a leaflet just like the one I posted above. Nice, yes?

Kitakits on Saturday! Gates open at 3:00PM.

Ticket World head office is located at the 7th Floor of Vicente Madrigal building along Ayala Ave. near PBCom.

If you happen to visit a few hours ago and noticed something weird, that’s because I was changing hosts.

So far the only remaining thing to do is to get SezWho to work. Wish me luck! :D
